Mindfulness is paying attention on purpose with kindness. Learning to be skillful and to de-escalate inwardly and outwardly is the heart of the practice.

There’s Mindfulness on-the-cushion (( Mindfulness Meditation, )) Mindfulness off-the-cushion (( out in the world, on-the-spot, )) and Mindfulness in-between (( practices such as yoga, walking, eating, and anything else you turn into a Mindfulness practice. ))

Mindfulness Meditation is paying attention on purpose with kindness to the breath.

Through a regular, ongoing Mindfulness Meditation practice, you begin to Awaken to life beyond your thinking, feeling, egoic mind + move into Awareness.   Awareness is where real life is happening.  Awareness is already and always here.

Mindfulness Meditation is a practice of learning to be still, to stay, and to trust the process of your real life unfolding.  It all comes together, then it all falls apart and then it all comes together again.  Repeat.

 

Adult Sits

Having been guided by kind teachers, I sit with, guide, teach, and meditate with others.  For over 15 years, I have been sitting with others in the practice of silence.  My Meditation Space is located in The Fan on Monument Avenue.

Group Mindfulness

Come join others looking to grow their silent practice. Sometimes there are three of us. Sometimes there are 20. No matter how big or small the group, the practice is yours. Enjoy it together and take home the lasting effects of sitting in silence.
